Over the length of JIM PETERIK’S spectacular career, he has worked with and developed lasting relationships with a long list of fellow (and remarkably talented) artists. Eighteen years ago, Jim had the idea to record an album and subsequent concert celebrating these friendships and collaborations.

Thus began World Stage.

Audiences were thrilled to see such a rich array of stars together on one stage, playing their own hits and Jim’s collaborations, interacting with Jim and the other guests in ways heretofore unseen. Jim’s easy style as a bandleader held one ironclad edict: Honor the Song. And they certainly did…and do.

Chances are very good you will recognize every tune played during the show – and be ready for a few surprises. The assembled cast always has fun onstage, and egos are banished. It’s a party, and YOU are really the special guests.

The music of the band Chicago is naturally near and dear to all in the Windy City. For this show, we are joined by Chicago founding member and member of the  Rock and Roll Hall of Fame DANNY SERAPHINE, drummer extraordinaire. Also with us is the legendary BILL CHAMPLIN who wrote, co-wrote and/or sang  platinum hits for Chicago and others.

MARK FARNER joins us for the show. Mark was the principal songwriter and singer of Grand Funk Railroad, and with 30 million records sold, his place in rock  history is secure. MIKE RENO, lead singer of Loverboy, also appears in this amazing performance.

Jim’s own legacy will be very much on display, with a set from the band that started it all for him, Chicago’s own IDES OF MARCH. Jim’s son COLIN PETERIK  has become a potent musical force on his own, mastering a variety of genres and drawing from them all. His distinctive voice and imaginative songwriting will be  featured during the performance.

Dinner and Show

Join us for dinner before JIM PETERIK’S “WORLD STAGE” in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Fine and Performing Arts Center. The Moraine Valley Foundation is hosting this celebration, with proceeds going to support future FPAC performances. The dinner begins at 6 p.m. in the Building M on campus. The cost is $135 per person and includes a delicious meal, soft drinks, wine, beer and a performance ticket.
