“After incurring personal and financial challenges all of my life, receiving a scholarship encouraged me to never give up on my dreams. Because of one generous donor making a difference for me, I’m able to pursue my studies in social work and strive to help kids with disabilities in my field of work.”

“I was heartbroken when I had to pause my respiratory therapy education to take care of my sick mother since English is not her first language. I lived through this quote, ‘Never give up because great things take time.’ Years later, I was accepted back into the program and received a scholarship, which will allow me to finish and help future patients.”

“I work in a barbershop where we regularly give free haircuts to the homeless and back-to-school haircuts to children. Additionally, I volunteer to feed the homeless. Realizing that many families don’t have the finances to afford a simple haircut or meals, my goal is to obtain a business administration associate degree and learn to buy homes to utilize as shelter homes for those who cannot afford a place to live.”
