Focus on balancing postures, and poses done close to the floor to create a sense of grounding to the earth. Class includes warming breath techniques and a fall meditation.
Oct. 30Ashtanga YogaCarolinaConsidered the first style of modern Yoga, this class will explore the first of six series of poses which will teach how to sync the breath with postures and prepare the practitioner for more advanced poses. Designed for anyone who would like to deepen their personal practice.
Nov. 6Sun/Moon/Earth SalutationsNancyYoga Trifecta mixes 3 popular Namascars - Sun for heating, Moon for cooling and Earth for grounding to help us fully connect to the Mother Earth. These ancient vinyasas practiced together in a single class will leave you feeling fully harmonized.
Nov. 13Yoga Flow with WeightsCarolinaIncorporate lightweight dumbbells within a Yoga flow series to challenge balance, improve muscular strength and prepare the body for more weight barring poses.
Nov. 20Thankful YogaJoanneFocus on heart opening poses, back-bends, forward folds and poses that aid digestion. A theme of gratitude and thankfulness will be interwoven through the class with readings, mantras, and mudras.
Nov. 27Fragrant YinNancyThis cooling yoga practice will infuse different essential oils and held yoga poses to ignite your mind, body and spirit for a complete experience of total release. Tibetan singing bowls will also be used to compliment the practice.

To register for a session, please visit Membership Services, register via the FitRec Account app. Please note: MVCC Employee Non-Member must register at Membership Services.

Drop-In Registration Process

  1. Stop by Membership Services to register in person
  2. Download the FitRec Account app
    1. Must be a current FitRec member to use the app
    2. Obtain login information from Membership Services
    3. Register and pay per class under the “Classes” section on the app
  3. Register online
    1. Click on the Register Online button on left menu
    2. Create an account if you are a guest/non-member, or login with your member account information (visit Membership Services for your information)
    3. Click Group Fitness
    4. Change category to Fee Based Classes, click the class you want to join, then click enroll.

Policies

The instructor will make up or FitRec will refund any sessions canceled due to facility or instructor issues. Participants may be able to join the session after on-time registration ends, space permitting, for a prorated fee. Classes/programs are subject to minimums/maximums, instructor/location changes, price changes and/or cancellation at supervisor’s discretion.

Refund/Credit Policy
A 100% refund will be given for any program canceled by FitRec. A 100% refund will be given if a participant submits a refund request form to Membership Services prior to the session registration deadline. A partial credit will be given for the following two reasons: (1) medical issues along with a written note from a licensed practitioner or (2) program not appropriate for maturity/ability of participant along with verification from the program coordinator. Partial credits are based on the value of classes not attended. We require participants to submit a credit request form that must be submitted within one week of the last attended class. Late/prorated registrations are not eligible for refunds/credits.

Transfer Policy
Participants that wish to transfer to another class section within the same session need to submit a transfer form to Membership Services. Transfers need to be approved by the program coordinator before the participant can attend a different class. Transfers are not allowed from one session to another.

Drop-In Policy
Availability of drop-in registrations will be based on the number of participants enrolled in each session. Each class is subject to a different number of open drop-in spots.
