B.S. degree in Nutrition & Health from Kansas State University
• ACEND Accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics-RDN credential (Kansas State University)

ROLE OF A NUTRITION COACH:
I am a guide that helps clients reach their health and life goals by making step-by-step-changes for diet and lifestyle. Each
client learns about new, healthy foods and the concept of primary foods: relationships, physical activity, career and
spirituality. I work with clients to set goals to gradually incorporate primary and secondary foods into their daily life. I am
completely focused on the clients; where the client is and they want to go with health and life improvement. I am here to
help clients gain control of and take responsibility for their health.

INSPIRATIONAL/MOTIVATIONAL QUOTES I LIVE BY (SO MANY):
If my thoughts can make me sick, my thoughts can help me heal; Remission: Remember My Mission; You never know how
strong you are, until being strong is your only choice.

WORDS THAT DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE OF NUTRITION COACHING:
“And I’m here now right before you; I am present in this moment and my life’s work is to honor the great beauty all around you.” – Gajumaru by Yaima

FAVORITE HEALTHY MEAL:
Riced Cauliflower (olive oil and salt in a iron skillet until charred), wagyu beef, grilled potatoes + onions + carrots + sweet
peppers (with olive oil and salt) and grilled pineapple with cinnamon for dessert.

STRENGTHS:
Understanding that nutrition is not solely about food choices. Nutrition is a multi-layered experience, which includes physical, mental, social and environmental factors. I will work with each layer to help a client obtain their optimal nutrition experience.

FAVORITE NUTRITION COACHING MEMORY:
Helping a young client with severe ADD, who was very picky and scared to eat and could not sit at the table long enough to finish a meal or snack. After discussions with his parents, I met with this young client one-one-one to create a comfortable setting that he creatively set up that was approved by his parents. I had a family meal with my client’s family and he atehis entire meal, sitting next to me while talking the entire time (versus having a tantrum and getting frustrated) and then he asked me for second helping of food. With a huge smile on my face, I ran to get him another full plate. This client’s family continues to employ the techniques I taught them and he continues to improve overall.

LEAST FAVORITE FOOD/MEAL:
Olives and Mustard (I am not picky and love food!)

LEAST FAVORITE NUTRITION APPROACH:
Numbers-focused modalities
