This Workshop Series is open to all students, faculty and staff of Moraine Valley Community College. The series, sponsored by FitRec, was created to help provide skills and knowledge students may not get in a traditional classroom. All workshops are interactive and will be adjusted based on those who attend.  Sessions will be approximately one hour long.

Interviewing Skills & Techniques

You may only get one chance to make a great first impression. Interviewing is an intimidating process, but especially for those just starting on their career paths. Fortunately, there are plenty of tips and techniques to help prepare you for the interview process. This presentation will focus on tips and techniques to help build confidence and alleviate some of the stress.

We will discuss this topic and other similar trends. Participants will leave more aware about social media and develop tips for presenting themselves the right way in any environment.

Empowering Women in the Workplace

Women like you have great potential to be the best and happiest version of yourself. However, there may be times when we do not believe we have the ability to speak up and make an impact. In this session, we explore perceived barriers women face in their everyday lives and how everyone – women and men– can play a role in empowering others. This session is open to anyone! You will also learn about on-campus resources to aid in your success.
