Moraine Valley Orchestra honors the college’s One Book One College, “Everything Is Tuberculosis” by John Green with our “Damsel’s in Distress” concert welcoming back Moraine’s lyric soprano Victoria Lowczyk. Classical music has long been filled with the glamorization and the tragic downfall of leading ladies suffering from “consumption” or tuberculosis. The orchestra will perform music by Verdi, Gounod, Strouse, and others.
