THEIR STORIES

Beatriz Jaimes
2023 Arlene Spiros Academic
Scholarship Recipient

“I was working in retail for many years until the pandemic hit and derailed the retail industry. I knew I had potential to make more of myself and I wanted to give my daughter the best life... I came across the Radiologic Technology Program which put me at ease knowing it can offer more stable opportunities in the workforce. I want to prove to myself and my daughter that it’s never too late.”

Titus Wiebe
2023 Dave and Karen Heide Volunteer
Scholarship Recipient

“My involvement in two charitable organizations has led me to go to college so I can be of better service as their financial advisor. Once I graduate, it’s my goal to use my passion to strive and contribute in meaningful ways through business and to ensure these organizations are getting the best financial care."

Faten

Faten Daoud
2023 Steve and Alice Molo Nursing Scholarship Recipient

“I grew up in an underdeveloped neighborhood that didn’t have many resources for an education. My parents worked hard for many years to give their children the resources for a great education. Receiving my nursing degree at Moraine Valley will ensure the hardships and struggle my parents went through was worth the financial burdens they endured.”
