Graduates eligible for the Distinguished Alumnus Award must have received a degree or certificate from Moraine Valley Community College. In addition, the following criteria will be considered by the selection committee:

  • Outstanding success and distinction in his/her chosen field
  • Humanitarian service that has proven beneficial to society
  • Continued interest in and support of education and community colleges
  • Overcoming life’s obstacles
