Certified Logistic Associate and Certified Logistic Technician
The Certified Logistics Program is comprised of the Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) and Certified Logistics Technician (CLT) courses. Both are designed to align with the Manufacturing Skills Standards Council’s (MSSC) standards for material movers. The CLA program covers the core competency areas required for high skilled, frontline material handling workers across all supply chain facilities. The CLT covers the core competency areas for mid-level, high performance material handling workers across all supply chain facilities. Upon completion, each workshop attendee will be eligible to take an assessment exam in each of the two areas for certification from MSSC. Individuals who pass the CLA assessment will receive a certificate, small CLA arm patch and a key work activities document to share with employers. The median annual wage for material movers was $22,970 per year in May 2012. Employment of hand laborers and material movers is projected to grow 10 percent from 2012 to 2022, about as fast as the average of all occupations.
