Moraine Valley’s Holistic Supply Chain courses include Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) and Certified Logistics Technician (CLT) designed to align with the Manufacturing Skills Standards Council’s (MSSC) standards for material movers as well as Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) courses, Forklift, and Aerial Work Platform.

One Day Certificates

The objective of this course is to provide formal training in the correct use and safety procedures of operating powered industrial forklift trucks.

This course is designed to fulfill OSHA’s requirement that only trained and authorized operators shall be permitted to operate powered industrial trucks.

This training program is applicable to Scissors Vertical Lifting Platforms and Boom Lifts. Including, classroom training, machine familiarization and a drive performance evaluation.

Certificate Programs

The program is designed to align with Manufacturing Skills Standards Council (MSSC) standards for the Certified Logistics Associate (CLA). This course covers the core competency areas required for high skilled, front-line material handling workers across all supply chain facilities. Topics include basics of supply chain logistics, global supply chain logistics life cycle, logistics environment, material handling equipment, safety principles, safe material handling and equipment operation, quality control, principles, workplace communications, teamwork and workplace behavior and computer usage. Upon completion, students will be assessed for the foundation level Certified Logistics Associate credential.

40 hours inclusive of certification exam

This course covers the core competency areas required for mid-level, high-performance material handling workers across all supply chain facilities. Topics include product receiving and storage, order processing, packaging and shipment, inventory control, transportation, and metrics.

 The program is aligned with Manufacturing Skills Standards Council (MSSC) standards for Certified Logistics Technicians (CLT). Upon completion, students will be assessed for the Certified Logistics

Our two training programs offer hands-on training with an experienced teacher. Both programs provide students with 8 hours of training in Supply Chain Management, teaching students the basic principles of transportation and the role transportation plays in economic vitality.

Basic CDL Program
This program includes a Department of Transportation physical, drug screening, CDL learner’s permit, and complete vehicle training to prepare for an entry-level position in the trucking industry.

9 Week Course
Monday, Wednesday, Friday
9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Plus CDL Program
This program includes a Department of Transportation physical, drug screening, background check/fingerprinting, CDL learner’s permit, lessons in Hazmat, Tanker, Doubles and Triples endorsements for state exams and complete vehicle training to prepare for an entry-level position in the trucking industry.

Moraine Valley's Introduction to Supply Chain certificate program is designed to provide you with the skills of managing solutions and oversee the flow of goods, data, and finances as a product or service move from point of origin to its final destination.

Students participating in this program will gain background for entry-level and trainee positions or, if currently employed in the industry, enhanced professional knowledge and career advancement potential.
