Now working as the executive vice president of Creative and Strategic Development at Jasculca Terman and Associates, a communications company, Holly Bartecki also teaches in the Marketing and Communications Department at Columbia College Chicago. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in management from Northern Illinois University, a certificate in direct marketing from DePaul University, and a master’s degree in adult and continuing education magna cum laude from National-Louis University. Her service to education includes past employment as an assistant dean of Marketing and Enrollment Management and director of Enrollment Management at South Suburban College, and director of Student Activities at Moraine Valley.

Dylan Lloyd, of Chicago, earned an Associate in Arts degree in music theory from Moraine Valley in 2009 and within six months moved to Los Angeles, where he signed a music publishing deal with Radar Music/BMG Rights Management. Currently a recording artist with Independent Ear and Universal Music Group, Lloyd was the first American to be invited to the Crimea Music Fest in the Ukraine, a concert broadcast on television to more than 100 million people across Eastern Europe. His music had charted in the top 10 on the iTunes Charts and has had songs named on Apple Music’s Best Music Playlist. He received his own radio station on Pandora, and has had several songs in the Top 50 of the iTunes Charts and songs named on Apple Music’s Best Music Playlist.

José Ángel Navejas earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy and a master’s degree in Latin American literature from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he is working on a doctoral degree in Latin American literature. A highly-praised author, Navejas penned a book entitled, “Illegal: Reflections of an Undocumented Immigrant,” published by the University of Illinois Press in 2014. He writes for numerous topical websites and lectures at colleges across the country.

After finishing classes at Moraine Valley, Dave Shalabi enrolled in the Advocate radiologic technician program and worked as a general and surgical radiologic technician at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Since transitioning into the real estate field, he was named Rookie of the Year for RE/MAX Team 2000 in 2007, inducted into the RE/MAX Hall of Fame and named the number one commercial agent for northern Illinois for the past five years. In addition, Shalabi received the 2017 RE/MAX Humanitarian of the Year award, and in 2018 was named to Chicago Agent Magazine’s Who’s Who.
