If you are a student who attends another college or university, but you’ve chosen to come to Moraine Valley for a few credit courses, you are considered a “Student at Large.” Other colleges and universities calls these students “guest students” or “summer guests”. To enroll in a credit course at Moraine Valley, you will need to follow these steps.

  1. Complete an admission application.
  2. Within an hour of submitting your completed application, you will be able to use Account Lookup to find your Moraine Valley username and password. These credentials will give you access to your student email and portal, called MVConnect. You also will receive a welcome letter in the mail in a few days that includes your MVConnect username and password.
  3. If planning to register for a course with a prerequisite, complete the Prerequisite Override Form online and attach your unofficial transcript. Average processing time is within 48 hours (not including weekends and holidays).Students can also bring transcripts directly to an advisor at the Academic Advising Center in Building S, Room S201, for a quicker response.
  4. Register for classes. If you would like assistance with course selection, visit the Academic Advising Center in Building S, Room S201.
