As a student in the Nissan Technician Training Academy (NTTA) you have access to training on Nissan and/or Infiniti vehicles to prepare yourself for working inside a Nissan or Infiniti dealership.

Students gain hands-on automotive diagnosis and repair experience in both classroom and dealership settings.

A huge demand exists for workers in the auto repair industry with a high number of technicians retiring. The Nissan training not only helps fill the growing void but also helps more people get their foot in the door. Many individuals have general auto training but not Nissan-specific experience.

Job Outlook

With expected vehicle sales growth, Nissan and Infiniti retailers expect to need an additional 6,000 technicians over the next five years.

Graduating students hired full-time by a Nissan or Infiniti dealer are eligible for a monthly tuition reimbursement incentive (up to $6,000) over the course of two-years of dealer employment.

Who's Eligible

All Moraine automotive technology students who are pursuing either the Automotive Technology A.A.S. degree (Curriculum Code 1277) or the 12-course Automotive Service Technician Certificate (Curriculum Code 1237) are eligible.

First and second year students are eligible, and highly recommended to participate in the apprenticeship program to gain hands-on Nissan dealership experience.
