The Computer Information and Office Technology Department (CIOT) trains students using state-of-the-art technology, computer labs, and classrooms.
Students intending to major in Engineering or Computer Science upon transfer from Moraine Valley may pursue an Associate in Science degree. For a successful transfer, you need to consider which four-year college or university you wish to attend and follow the curriculum that aligns with that program. Moraine Valley’s academic advisors are available to help students develop an individual educational plan tailored to your transfer needs.
The Computer Information and Office Technology Department strongly encourage students to pursue certifications. By passing one or more certification exams, students can prove to employers their proficiency in computer applications and technologies. Testing takes place at the Moraine Valley Testing Center.
Course Surveys have been developed to help you decide which course(s) to enroll in first. Students with a variety of skills, work experience, and educational backgrounds may enroll in Computer Information and Office Technology programs. You can take a survey before registering for a class through MVConnect.
