The Computer Information and Office Technology Department (CIOT) trains students using state-of-the-art technology, computer labs, and classrooms.

Students intending to major in Engineering or Computer Science upon transfer from Moraine Valley may pursue may pursue an Associate in Engineering Science degree. For a successful transfer, you need to consider which four-year college or university you wish to attend and follow the curriculum that aligns with that program.

The Computer Information and Office Technology Department strongly encourages students to pursue certifications. By passing one or more certification exams, students can prove to employers their proficiency in computer applications and technologies. Testing takes place at the Moraine Valley Testing Center.

Course surveys have been developed to help you decide which course(s) to enroll in first. Students with a variety of skills, work experience, and educational backgrounds may enroll in Computer Information and Office Technology programs.
