Moraine Valley Community College is proud to offer the Medical Transcription Program at the extension centers and main campus on a rotational basis. Here's the rotation schedule:

- 2013-2014: Main Campus
- 2014-2015: Southwest Education Center
The mission of the Medical Transcriptionist program at Moraine Valley Community College is to promote excellence and integrity in the medical transcription profession. We provide our students with the training, education and practical awareness necessary to succeed. The Medical Transcriptionist program takes the responsibility to educate and develop a skilled work force to support the needs of the health care industry.
Admissions and Transfer Information
Moraine Valley is a comprehensive, full-service community college with an open-door admission policy for high school graduates or others qualified to enter. Admission is available to individuals 18 or older who are high school graduates/GED recipients.
Program Prerequisite: Typing ability of 50 words per minute.
You may be able to transfer into the program, but students may be required to take challenge exams to be granted credit for career courses that have been taken at other schools.
