Terry Chambers, B.S., M.S.

Terry brought extensive TRIO experience to Moraine Valley when he came to direct the program in 2001. He was the senior project counselor/career specialist in the Student Support Services program at Chicago State University. Prior to that, he worked in a TRIO Educational Talent Search program at Purdue University—Calumet, as well as a counselor at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and an admissions counselor at Augustana College. He holds a Bachelor of Science in history and an Master of Science in counseling from Tennessee State University. Currently he teaches COL-101, is the President-Elect of the Illinois Association of Educational Opportunity Program Personnel (ILAEOPP), and serves on the board of the Mid-America Association of Educational Opportunity Program Personnel.

Bev Behland

A former student of Moraine Valley, Bev has been a part of the college's family since 1985, with 16 years serving as a clerk-typist in the Center for Disability Services before joining Student Support Services. Prior to working at Moraine Valley, Bev held positions in a social service agency, a retail store and at an insurance company.

Mattie Y. Payne-Mallory, B.A., M.A.

Mattie Y. Payne-Mallory began working with the SSS program in 2005. She worked as an academic advisor for Governors State University. She developed the TRIO Student Support Services Alumni Club and TRIO Student Support Services Scholarship at the university. She also is an alum of Governors State University. Mattie holds a B.A. in liberal arts and an M.A. from Governors State University. She currently teaches College 101 here at Moraine Valley and serves as Secretary of the Illinois Association of Educational Opportunity Program Personnel (ILAEOPP).
