As
a member of the national TRIO program, Moraine Valley's Student Support Services
program is affiliated with several other organizations that are dedicated to
furthering educational opportunities around the country.
Council for Opportunity in Education
(COE)
The Council for Opportunity in Education was established in 1981 to further the
expansion of educational opportunities throughout the United States. Through its
numerous membership services, the Council works in conjunction with colleges,
universities and agencies that host TRIO programs geared toward helping
low-income Americans enter college and graduate.
Mid-America Association of Educational
Opportunity Program Personnel (MAEOPP)
Representing Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri,
Nebraska, Ohio, and Wisconsin, the Mid-America Association of Educational
Opportunity Program Personnel strives to promote secondary and postsecondary
programs to meet the academic, financial and socio-cultural needs of minority
and/or disadvantaged students. MAEOPP has scholarships available for TRIO
students.
Illinois Association of
Educational Opportunity Program Personnel (ILAEOPP)
The Illinois Association of Educational Opportunity Program Personnel is an
organization comprised of directors, counselors, students, parents, educators
and others who are dedicated to ensuring access and education for all who desire
a postsecondary education. It accomplishes this by awarding college scholarships
to high school, college and graduate students. ILAEOPP also sponsors an annual
Professional Conference, a Student Leadership Conference, three national TRIO
Day celebrations, a college tour, and various training workshops for TRIO and
Educational Opportunity Program members. Moraine Valley TRIO/SSS participants
are welcome to participate in future events. For information on membership,
