Prerequisite: GEL-150.
Introduces origin and structure of the earth. Emphasizes North America, growth of continents and mountain building. Studies evolution in plant and animal life as documented by fossil remains. Interpretation of geologic forces by means of topographic maps, geologic folios, aerial photos, and extensive field work are important segments of laboratory experiences. Fee is required.
