Recreation Management—About the Program
Thank
you for your interest in our Associate of Applied Science Degree In Recreation
Management Recreation Management is a VERY BROAD major that enables students to
pursue their unique interest In specific careers. Recreation Management is
now a thriving business field and trained professionals are finding many
career options open to them in. In a world characterized by new technologies and
rapidly changing human needs, the recreation management profession is being
challenged to provide more opportunities for meaningful leisure
experiences. Our Associate of Applied Science Degree is designed to help
students prepare to meet this challenge through a multifaceted curriculum
Innovative instructional techniques , and professional learning
experiences designed to prepare for leadership roles in a variety of
professional settings.
As a Recreation Management Major you will learn to:

strategic plans in program and facility designs that provide for
conservation our natural resources and environment

concepts, principles and procedures of Management, Marketing, Finance, and
Risk Management.

Recreational Experiences for Diverse populations

Curriculum involves the student in several Service Learning opportunities in
the classroom and out in the community to learn skills and work with people
through projects that enhance their employment opportunities.
