Department Programs
- Addictions
Studies-Meets professional substance abuse counselor
certification training requirements.
- Child
Care-Provides child care center management, teaching, and related
training.
- Criminal
Justice-Emphasizes careers in the criminal justice field.
- Fire
Service Management-Meets OSFM certification, and emphasizes careers in the
fire service field.

Fire Service
Operations-The program is designed to prepare
students for entry-level jobs in the fire service. The program will
culminate with students completing fire academy training and performing a
capstone internship with a local fire department.
- Fitness
Trainer-Provides training for jobs in health fitness clubs,
sports facilities, etc.
- Physical
Education and Health-Features aerobics, body
building, fitness, health, lifestyle, nutrition, outdoor recreation, team
sports, etc.

Services-Emphasizes careers in the security and loss
prevention field, as well as criminal justice.

Recreation
Management-Emphasizes careers in the leisure services and
commercial recreation industries.

Admission Policies
Moraine Valley is a
comprehensive full-service community college with an open-door admission policy
for high school graduates and others qualified to enter. Admission is available to individuals 18 or older who are high school
graduates/GED recipients, or who have permission from their high school.
