The following suggested schedule is based on full-time enrollment. Students may also complete the program through part-time enrollment.

For information about prerequisites and corequisites, please refer to the catalog. Additionally, students should be advised of the following section of the Illinois Massage Therapy Licensing Act, Section 1284.20 (3) Each student must maintain a minimum grade of 70% for all massage therapy related course and clinical work as described in this section.

Students must be 18 years of age or older to enroll in MAS-101.

Pathology of Massage Therapy Prerequisites: BIO-115; MRT-110; MAS-101 ; MAS-109 and MAS-110 should be taken in the same semester (except summer).

Basic Swedish Massage Students must have a valid CPR for Health Care Providers AND a First Aid card at the time of enrollment in MAS-110 or take PEH-170 or a comparable course at another college with a C or higher. Additionally, students must have the results of a satisfactorily completed criminal background check on file with the Program Coordinator during the first week of class.

Successful completion of all course requirements and the minimum number of credit hours for the specific certificate; minimum overall grade point average of 2.0 in the courses required for the certificate; at least 50 percent of the certificate hours must be completed at Moraine Valley; submission of graduation petition to the Records Office by published deadlines.
