The emergency medical services program has special admission requirements. Applicants are responsible for ensuring that all admission requirements are met. Please carefully review the admission requirements.

Additional Information
To qualify for Moraine Valley's certificate in addition to the EMT-P state License, you must

  • Successfully complete EMS-102, 103, 104, 233, and 237 at Christ Hospital; 

  • Submission of graduation petition by published deadline

If you have successfully completed the EMT Paramedic Certificate P, you may test for proficiency credit for EMS-102, 103, 104, 233, and 237. Contact the Moraine Valley Alternative Learning office at (708) 974-2110.

If you are seeking Moraine Valley course credit for equivalent courses completed at another college or university, initiate a transcript review through the Moraine Valley Records Office.

Graduation Requirements
Successful completion of all course requirements and the minimum number of credit hours for the specific certificate; minimum overall grade point average of 2.0 in the courses required for the certificate; at least 50 percent of the certificate hours must be completed at Moraine Valley; submission of graduation petition to the Records Office by published deadlines.
