fulfills the general education requirements for an A.A. degree may be applied as
a program elective or choose from the following courses:
Note: Students
may take any additional general education courses (communications, mathematics,
physical/life sciences, humanities/fine arts and social/behavioral sciences) as
program electives. Students may wish to pursue an Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree with a criminal justice
concentration if they are planning to transfer to a four-year university.
Information about the A.A. option is available in the Moraine
Valley catalog (page 78). Contact an academic advisor for assistance
regarding transfer options.
Graduation Requirements
Official high school transcript with date of
graduation or a GED certificate; minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0;
successful completion of all course requirements and the minimum number of
credit hours for the specific degree; minimum of 15 semester hours completed at
Moraine Valley; constitution requirement; a "C" grade or better in
COM-101 and a "C" grade or better in
COM-102 if
COM-102 is required for this program; successful completion of minimum level
of competency in Mathematics; submission of graduation petition to the Records Office by
