Lab Closed: Building T is closed on Sundays and therefore the IMS Tutoring Center is also closed. The IMS tutoring center is also closed when the campus is closed for holidays. If a tutor cannot make their regularly scheduled time due to sickness, or personal matters, every attempt will be made to post a sign in the tutoring center. Please be aware that in the event of an occasional tutor absence, this web page may not be updated. If tutors' hours permanently change, this web page will be updated.
IMS Tutoring: Tutoring is free and open to any students currently enrolled in classes at Moraine Valley. Students must present a valid student photo I.D. Tutors can help students with using Student email, Blackboard, Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.) and specific assignments in CSC, IMS, MIS and OSA classes. If a course is not listed, the tutors may still be able to assist you, just ask.
Tutors are available to assist with assignments, not to complete your work for you. If a tutor is not able to help, students should contact their instructor for assistance. Remember, the Tech-Tutors are students, too. The IMS tutoring center is not a place to congregate with friends. Please silence all electronic devices while working in the IMS Tutoring Center.
Printing in the Building T: A Pay-for-Print station is located in the center of Building T near the vending machines. Printing costs 10 cents per page. Students can print to this station from any of the open-area computers in the Building T, and from computers in T950. To pay for printing, students can use coins, dollar bills, or a pay-for-print debit card. Pay-for-print cards can be purchased in the Library (Building L), or in D159.
Feel free to ask the tutors about other classes other. If the tutor is able to help, they will be happy to do so. Please remember the tutors also are students! They will make every attempt to assist students to the best of their abilities. In some cases, however, tutors may not be able to solve all students' problems or answer all students' questions, and students may need to contact their instructors for additional assistance. Please direct all questions and comments regarding tutors to Nancy Woodard, (708) 974-5732, email@example.com.
