MEMBERSHIP

Is my membership included in tuition?
Full-time students (12 credit hours in fall and spring, 6 credit hours in summer), have access to the HFRC at no additional cost. Part-time students (enrolled in 11 credit hours in fall and spring, 5 credit hours less in summer) pay $48 per semester, $24 for summer.

What is your minimum age requirement?
Members age 16 and older will have access to all areas of the facility. Dependents age 6-15 can join on a parent/guardian member account, or through our family membership, but access is limited to the pool, field house, and track.

Who else can join?
Moraine Valley employees and community members are all welcome to join.


EQUIPMENT RENTALS AND PRO SHOP

What equipment will be available to check out?
Members can check out basketballs, weight belts, volleyballs, and more.

What is available to buy?
The Pro Shop area carries many items to accommodate your fitness and recreation needs, including shirts, shorts, swim goggles, socks, weight lifting and kick boxing gloves, and more.

Are lockers available? What is the rental policy?
More than 200 lockers are available in the men's and women's locker rooms free of charge with each visit. Lockers also are available on a rental basis as a convenience to members who want to store their workout gear and toiletries. Lockers have built in digital locks.

Does the facility provide towels?
Yes. Your membership includes towel service available at the front desk or on the second floor.

PROGRAMS AND FITNESS SERVICES

Do you offer personal training?
Yes. Our personal trainers develop customized programs to meet individual members' needs and goals.

Do you offer group fitness classes?
Yes. Our four studio spaces accommodate classes at various times throughout the day. Members can enjoy our many free Group Fitness classes or can choose to join one or more of our instructional classes offered on a semester basis.

Do you have to be a member to take a class?
Our classes are open to members only and include free group fitness classes, as well as fee-based programs. All group fitness classes are only open to members, however non-members may register for a fee-based program for an additional fee.

What other amenities do you offer?
A four-lane swimming pool with a whirlpool and deep well, a walking/running track approximately 1/8 1/10 of a mile, and a steam room in the men's and the women's locker rooms.

Do you have a walking/running track?
Yes, the running track is approximately 1/10 of a mile long.

Is there access to basketball or volleyball courts?
The facility includes a three-court field house for volleyball, basketball and badminton.

Are there open studio times?
Yes. When classes are not scheduled, specified studios are available for member use.


GENERAL

What are the hours?
Monday-Thursday 5:30 a.m.-11 p.m.
Friday 5:30 a.m.-10 p.m.
Saturday 7 a.m.-8 p.m.
Sunday 8 a.m.-8 p.m.

May I bring a guest?
Members can bring up to three guests per visit. The fee is $12 per guest.

What do I need to access the facility?
Upon first visit full-time students will need to bring their Moraine Valley ID and register including signing a waiver and having their picture taken at the Pro Shop/Membership desk in the HFRC. Part-time students will need their student I.D., register and pay the a semester fee directly at the HFRC. Faculty/staff can sign up and pay at the Pro Shop/Membership desk and will need their Moraine Valley ID for access. Community members will sign up and be issued a membership key tag.
