Basic Nurse Assistant Training Program
After successful completion of the Moraine Valley Community College Basic Nurse Assistant Training Program, students are eligible to take the State Nurse Aide Competency examination. When a successful program completer passes the state examination, he/she is listed in the State of Illinois Healthcare Worker Registry as a Certified Nurse Aide. After receiving certification by the State of Illinois, the student has the qualifications to seek employment in long-term care or chronic care facilities, hospitals, or home health agencies. Cost of the certification exam is $60, and is included in the course fee. For additional information on certification, please visit www.nurseaidetesting.com.
Upon passing the State Nurse Aide Competency examination, program completers receive a letter documenting that they passed the exam and this serves as the student's certificate.
