What is Global Education?
The term “Global Education” is used synonymously with the term
“International Education,” which is defined as “all programs, projects, studies
and activities that can help an individual learn and care more about the world
beyond his or her community, and to transcend his or her culturally conditioned,
ethnocentric perspectives, perception and behavior.” (Fersh 1990)
At Moraine Valley, we are
attempting to introduce Global Education properties into the classroom and
offer a variety of activities and special events that will help spark
intellectual conversation, stimulate the thought process, and cultivate a
broader understanding.
If at any time you have questions
and or suggestions, feel free to contact the coordinator.
