The faculty and staff in the Division of Academic Affairs
provide a student-centered learning environment that facilitates quality
instruction, fosters personal development, ensures access to available
technologies, and promotes cultural diversity in a changing global

Overview of Division
Moraine Valley's Finance Division prepares the
college's annual budget, is responsible for the college's investments
and all other banking activities, prepares and submits the annual tax
levy, prepares the comprehensive annual financial report (audit) and
other compliance reports, processes biweekly payroll, pays bills
(accounts payable), and conducts all accounts receivable functions.

Overview of Division
The Division of Institutional Advancement promotes and
upholds the image of the college in the local, regional, national, and
global communities. The division (1) provides quality information about
college programs and services through a variety of print and nonprint
media, including electronic media; (2) researches, analyzes and plans
for community and student needs, learning and other college experiences;
(3) seeks alternative revenue to fund priority programs and services;
and (4) builds and maintains relationships with schools, agencies,
businesses, and media. Finally, the division provides
leadership for the strategic and annual planning processes.
Mission Statement
The mission of Institutional Advancement is to provide
distinctive, responsive and innovative services—including integrated
marketing communications, resource development, planning and research—to
further the college’s mission.
To accomplish this, we will provide leadership for:
- Institutional effectiveness
- AQIP reaccreditation
- College-wide strategic, data-driven approaches to planning and operations
- College-wide integrated marketing communications strategies

In support of the mission of Moraine Valley Community
College, the Student Development Division encourages academic, personal
and career growth by providing comprehensive and accessible services and
programs to promote and enhance the overall development of our students.
Student Development is committed to promoting student success in an
ever-changing and multicultural community.

The Student Development Division supports Moraine Valley
Community College's mission by facilitating the education, growth and
development of the whole person in a student centered, learning focused
and multicultural community. The Student Development staff are dedicated
to working collaboratively to provide innovative, relevant, high quality
programs and services that meet the needs of our diverse students and
the community, and exemplify our core values of integrity, fairness,
respect, responsibility, and diversity. We are committed to student
