Victor Frankenstein shuns his family, friends and scientific colleagues for his scientific quest. Frankenstein's monster, the result of this quest, wants nothing more than to be loved and to be accepted by humans. The creator shuns community, while the monster desires it. How do communities guide us and shape us as individuals? What makes us a part of a community? How do communities accept or exclude individuals?
