Tommy Hensel | Director | Fine & Performing Arts Center

Greetings! The 2014-15 performance season marks my 8th booking season at the Fine and Performing Arts Center and I continue to be impressed with the high level of support we receive from the community. Last year was our landmark 20th Anniversary season celebrating two decades of presenting world-class visual and performing arts events in our Dorothy Menker Theater, John & Angeline Oremus Theater, and Robert F. DeCaprio Art Gallery. As we enter our next two decades, we hope you will continue to look at the Fine and Performing Arts Center as your favorite destination for experiencing the arts.

We have a few exciting highlights this season:

  • After the great success of our first Sunday Salon Series last year, we are continuing with a second season of cabaret performances in our intimate John and Angeline Oremus Theater. Each of those cabaret shows will be performed twice (2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.) on a series of Sundays throughout the season.
  • Two of our Academic Music ensembles – the Concert Band and the Percussion Ensemble – are celebrating their 10th anniversary this year so those performances are sure to be tremendous fun for the whole family.
  • As part of the curation in the Robert F. DeCaprio Art Gallery, we are putting together a more comprehensive series of exhibitions in the atrium display cases. Check our schedule for more information.
  • Finally, we have created a blog (written by yours truly) that will give periodic updates about the backstage workings of the Fine and Performing Arts Center. You will find a link to that blog on the left side of each page in the FPAC website. Be sure to subscribe for updates and follow me as I give you some “insider” information about the season.

Thank you for your support. I look forward to seeing you at the Fine and Performing Arts Center during the 2014-15 season.
