Rotating Banner Robert F. DeCaprio Art Gallery

The Robert F. DeCaprio Art Gallery is a meeting ground for students of Moraine Valley, the local community, and the contemporary art world. Our mission is to present significant works, through exhibitions and programming, by local, national, and international artists.

Exhibits are available for viewing Monday-Friday 9 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. and during most Fine and Performing Arts Center performances.

Steven’s work marks explorations of contemporary visual aesthetics and languages in both popular and fringe cultures. Drawing inspiration from forms of expression throughout the world, it aspires toward a devout pursuit of a severe beauty, as well as pursuing virtuosity in practice that seeks ever-greater complexity in simplicity.

Reception: Thursday, March 5, 2-4 p.m.

Gregory’s work explores the tenuous and delicate relationship between nature and consumer society. The integration of nature into our culture has co-opted nature as a product. Through this work, he attempts to express the manifestations of this trend.

25th Annual High School Art Exhibition
March 11-18
Reception: Friday, March 13, 6-9 p.m.
This annual exhibition showcases work created by students from local high schools.

Moraine Valley’s Assistant Professor of Art Erik La Gattuta presents his sabbatical work.


Moraine Valley Juried Student Art Exhibition
April 20-May 15
Reception: Thursday, April 23, 4-6 p.m., awards presentation at 5:30 p.m.
This exhibition showcases the breadth and depth of emerging art students who are either currently enrolled in or have taken art classes within the past year at Moraine Valley.

Reception: Saturday, May 30, 2-4 p.m.
Moraine Valley will host its 11th annual juried exhibit of works by local artists in this juried community exhibition.
