The Fine and Performing Arts Center is only available for
rentals on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between July 1, 2011, and
June 30, 2012. |
The following are included in the rental rate for
the Dorothy Menker Theater or the John and Angeline Oremus Theater:
One (1) Technical Director for up to 8 hours
Two (2) Stagehands for up to 8 hours
One (1) Box Office Manager for up to 4 hours for ticketed events
One (1) Box Office Agent for up to 4 hours for ticketed events
One (1) House Manager for up to 4 hours
Ushers as needed�quantity varies by event
Moraine Valley�s two theaters provide
access to professional-quality scenery, dressing rooms, and costume and
rehearsal areas, to showcase your performance in an unforgettable way.
Dorothy
Menker Theater�
Capacity � 585
$1,750 per day (up to 8 hours) for ticketed events
$1,500 per day (up to 8 hours) for non-ticketed events
$100 per hour beyond 8 hours in a single day

For rental of the Recital Hall, only a House Manager will be
provided. |
Rehearsal rates for the Dorothy Menker Theater and
the John and Angeline Oremus Theater include the services of a Technical
Director and two (2) stagehands for up to four (4) hours. Rehearsal rates for
the Recital Hall include the services of one (1) stagehand for up to four (4)
hours.
Dorothy Menker Theater�$300 up to 4 hours; $75 per hour beyond 4 hours
John
and Angeline Oremus Theater�$200 up to 4 hours; $50 per hour beyond 4 hours
Recital Hall�$100 up to 4 hours; $25 per hour beyond 4 hours
Deposit
Each user is required to make a
50-percent deposit of the total rental fee upon signing the contract. The
remaining balance must be paid before the first performance unless the contract
specifies otherwise.
Other Fees
Rental rates include some personnel and
technical services. Fees for additional personnel and technical services will be
charged according to the Technical/Personnel Rental Rate sheet.
Ticketing
All users of the Fine and Performing
Arts Center must use the center's box office for any ticketed event. The
responsible party will submit the ticketing information to the box office
manager, who will set up the ticketing procedures. All ticketing, including
complimentary ticketing, must be arranged through the center's box office
manager.
Technical Assistance
Users of the Fine and Performing Arts
Center must meet with the center's technical director to determine the technical
requirements for their function. Complete information needs to be available at
this meeting. All plots and technical requirements should be furnished to the
technical director at this time. Every user must use personnel approved by the
Fine and Performing Arts Center in all technical areas.
Users are not allowed
to use the center's equipment or bring in an outside technical crew without
authorization and approval from the Fine and Performing Arts Center director and
the technical director. All users must schedule a pre-production meeting with
the Fine and Performing Arts Center staff members at least one month prior to
the event.
Security
The Fine and Performing Arts Center
and/or its staff assume no liability or responsibility for the security of the
performers or their equipment unless prior contractual arrangements are made.
All time-incurred charges for security include opening/lock-down of the facility
by staff members.
How to Book
- When the date has been approved, the Fine
and Performing Arts Center director will issue a contract.
- The contract must be signed and returned
with the deposit before the staff will begin to work on the project.
- User will meet with the box office manager
to determine procedures for ticket sales.
- User will meet with the technical director
to determine staffing and technical requirements.
It is the user's
responsibility to be familiar with all provisions in the rental agreement. The
user�s attention is to be called to the following specific areas:

The fixed seating
capacity of the Dorothy Menker Theater is 585. Additional aisle seating is
strictly prohibited, as is overselling the house.

The John and
Angeline Oremus Theater has flexible seating with a maximum capacity of 125.

The Box Office
manager reserves the right to hold emergency and handicap slots.

Smoking, eating
and drinking are prohibited at all times in the gallery, on stage,
-
backstage, in the theaters, and in the control booth.

All building
equipment is to be operated by the Fine and Performing Arts Center's
technical staff only.
-
Damage to the
building or any building equipment incurred by the user will be added to the
final bill.
-
Building users
should restrict their activities to the section of the building rented.
-
All events must be
terminated by the time stated in the contract, or hourly charges will be
added to the final bill.

A $1 million
liability insurance coverage is required in writing at least 30
days prior to rental.

| Rental Insurance Requirements |
1. Licensee at its own
cost and expense shall provide and keep in full force and effect during the Use
Date the following types of insurance policies from an insurance company with an
AM Best rating of A-VII or better, which is licensed and in good standing to do
business in Illinois, with limits not less than the amounts specified below:

Licensor must be named
as an additional insured under the Commercial General Liability Insurance
Policy. The Commercial General Liability Insurance Policy may consist of primary
and umbrella coverage and must cover the center and adjacent premises owned by
the Licensor. Licensee must provide Licensor with certificates of insurance by
thirty (30) days prior to the �Use Date� which show that it has obtained the
required insurance coverage from financially sound and reputable insurance
companies. Such certificates of insurance must provide that the insurance
coverage described in the certificate will not be canceled unless Licensor is
given at least ten (10) days written notice.
2. Licensee shall not
perform any act or omission or permit or suffer the performance of any act or
omission, which may reasonably result in either the cancellation, or
invalidation of any insurance policies maintained by Licensor or an increase in
the premiums Licensor is required to pay for such insurance policies.
