Steps to Receiving Aid

Apply via the Web at www.fafsa.ed.gov  or complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) accurately in black or dark ink. Mail the form in the envelope from the application packet. Financial aid is given on a year-by-year basis so you need to reapply each year.

If Moraine Valley Community College was one of your school choices on the FAFSA, you will receive a letter from the Financial Aid Office in approximately three weeks from time of application.  The letter will include instruction regarding what other documentation is needed.

Remember, to receive financial aid, you must maintain a cumulative 2.0 grade point average (GPA) or better and earn credit in at least 67 percent of the cumulative hours attempted.  Read the specific information regarding the academic standards of progress for financial aid recipients.
