Program Development
Materials
New A.A.S. Degree or Certificate
- Prepare an Intent to Develop Curriculum
for discussion and approval by Department Chair and Subdivision Dean.
- Prepare Program Development & Revision
form and required paperwork. Submit for signature to Department Chair and
Dean.
- Submit the approved documents to the Dean
for Academic Initiatives and Accountability.
- Consideration by the Curriculum
Development Group.
- Consideration by the Curriculum Review
Team.
- Make any requested corrections and
resubmit final paper work to Dean for Academic Initiatives and
Accountability.

Include required information for new Career Program Worksheet.
•
Include Program Control Document (for degree only)
- The office of the Dean for Academic
Initiatives and Accountability prepares paperwork for the Illinois Community
College Board.
- Completed materials are sent to the
Vice-President of Academic Affairs for approval.
- Vice-President of Academic Affairs submits
request to Board of Trustees for approval.
- Upon Board of Trustees approval, the Dean
for Academic Initiatives and Accountability sends all materials and
paperwork to the Illinois Community College Board.
- Approval is received from ICCB.
- The Office of the Dean for Academic
Initiatives and Accountability notifies all relevant stakeholders at the
college and approved curriculum materials are disseminated.

Career Program worksheet is created and published.
•
Information is put on the college website.
Approximate time frame: 5 – 8 months
