Introduction

Curriculum Development Process Overview

Curriculum Development Process Goals:

  • Make the processes of curriculum review and development efficient and effective
  • Develop curriculum in collaboration with other College departments that may be affected by proposed changes
  • Effectively utilize faculty and staff expertise in the development process
  • Develop sound curriculum in accordance with ICCB rules and Best Practices in Community Colleges

At Moraine Valley, curriculum development is overseen by the Curriculum Development Group (CDG) and the Curriculum Review Team (CRT). These groups are chaired by the Dean of Academic Initiatives and Accountability and are composed of the following members:
