Other Ways to Earn Moraine Valley Credit

  • Achieved Prior Learning (APL)
    Students may earn college credit for what they already know from prior learning or work experience.

  • College Level Examination Program (CLEP)
    The CLEP is a method by which college credit may be earned for prior knowledge by taking the CLEP test at authorized test centers, including Moraine Valley.

  • Proficiency Credit
    A procedure that allows students to convert vocational or non-credit courses or professional examination certificates to college credit.

  • Telecourses
    Telecourses offer students the opportunity to work at an individual pace by viewing the televised portion of the course in the college library or; in some cases, at home.
