Cook County Sheriff Training Institute (CCSTI)

Basic Corrections Officer
Moraine Valley Community College is awarding 24 college credits to recruits who successfully complete the 400 hour Cook County Sheriff Institute Basic Corrections Officer training program. To earn college credit, a recruit must complete and submit a college application at the start of the training program.

  • As recognized, recruits will need only 38 credit hours to complete the degree by taking necessary courses at Moraine Valley and/or receiving credit through transfer courses from other colleges/universities attended.

Protective Services Certificate
(30/31 Credit hours)

  • As recognized, recruits will need only 6 credits to complete the certificate by taking courses at Moraine Valley and/or receiving transfer credit from another college.
