V. Interpretation and Revision A. Any question of interpretation regarding the Code of Student Conduct will be referred to the assistant dean of Student Life and Judicial Affairs or a designee for final determination. B. The code will be reviewed periodically and amended as necessary under the direction of the assistant dean of Student Life and Judicial Affairs. Addendum to the Code of Student Conduct Reporting and Disclosing Incidents of Sexual Offense Moraine Valley Community College complies with the Higher Education Act Amendment of 1992 by disclosing campus crime statistics, including any reported incidents of forcible or nonforcible sex offenses. In addition, the college complies with the law by adopting procedures for victims to follow if a sex offense occurs. The Code of Student Conduct specifically prohibits sex offenses on college premises or at college-sponsored or supervised activities, as noted in Section I.B.10. 2. A victim may report the offense to any staff member on campus, who will call the Moraine Valley Community College Police Department immediately so appropriate attention can be provided. 3. A victim should be informed of the importance of preserving evidence as may be necessary to the proof of criminal sexual assault. 4. 5. College counselors are available to meet with the victim of a sexual offense. Referral services, if appropriate, will be offered. The Campus Security Act of 1992 requires statistics on various kinds of crimes, including sex offenses. Statistics are required on forcible and nonforcible sex offenses. Forcible sex offenses are "any sexual acts directed against another person, forcibly and/or against that person's will; or not forcibly or against the person's will where the victim is incapable of giving consent," and include forcible rape, forcible sodomy, sexual assault with an object, and forcible fondling. Nonforcible sex offenses are acts of "unlawful, nonforcible sexual intercourse," and includes incest and statutory rape.
