HIS-201-402 is a
Telecourse. Students will
be working primarily on their own, but will meet as a class with the
instructor 5 times during the semester. Course includes thought
provoking and entertaining tapes that are supplemented with a study guide and
textbook. Exams will be administered in the Testing Center. To succeed in a Telecourse, a student must be self disciplined and
motivated, with excellent time management skills and a willingness to

Tapes: The telecourse Shaping
America
consists of twenty-six,
twenty-five minute programs. Sets of videotapes/DVD's are located in the Moraine
Valley Community College LRC, and others are located at local public libraries:
Alsip-Merrionette Park Public Library, Blue Island Public Library, Bridgeview
Public Library, Calumet Park, Crestwood, Evergreen Park, Justice Public Library, Orland Park Public Library, Prairie
Trail Public Library and William Leonard in Robbins. Tapes may also be rented from RMI Media Productions at
www.rmimedia.com
or at 1-800-745-5480 for the semester. Approximate cost is
$50.00 for the set.
