Students who have never taken a class at Moraine Valley Community College must fill out an IELP application prior to taking the IELP placement test. Applications can be obtained from the IELP office located in Building B, Room 260. After the student has filled out the application they will be given a testing ticket which they will need to bring with them when they take the placement exam. After the student has filled out the application, the student must wait two business days for the application to be processed before the student can take the placement exam. The placement exam helps determine the best level of English classes in which to begin. The test is approximately two hours in length and tests reading, writing, grammar, and listening skills.
