Colleges will use information technology to improve and expand their services to students in such areas as admissions, advising, financial aid, orientation, registration, assessment, placement, and progress monitoring.

MVCC Institutional Priority:

• Select and begin to implement a new college-wide business system

• Initiated installation of new campus business system with vastly upgraded student support systems

• Provide student computers and telephone access in campus registration area

• Provide full complement of online student services:
  Application for admission
  Registration
  Searchable real-time online schedule
  Student online access to own schedule
  Textbook ordering
  Online student orientation, with module available on demand for review
  Student access to advisors/counselors via e-mail
  Online financial aid information with link to Free Application for 
  Federal Student Aid
  Online availability of computer-generated academic progress report
  identifying courses completed/courses needed for graduation

• Provide touch-tone registration

• Freshman seminar class available in online format

• Provide adaptive technology for students with visual or physical impairments
