Colleges will conduct thorough
assessments of their current use of information technology and the extent to
which technology is used to support learning-centered activities.
MVCC Institutional Priorities:

Update
and implement the Technology Plan

Provide
continuous, college-wide faculty and staff training programs to expand use
of technology in courses, programs, and services

Develop
additional courses and student services that use interactive learning
approaches, including asynchronous learning, to meet student needs
Outcomes:

Developed
the comprehensive Moraine Valley Technology Plan; reviewed and updated as
needed

Established
a college-wide Technology Advisory Group to assess campus needs

Conducted
a faculty survey of technology-based methods employed to support student
success; results reviewed by Department Chair Roundtable

Addressed
faculty use of technology-based methodology through Learning Dialogs and in
written faculty responses

Provide
student tutors 50 hours per week in Center for Contemporary Technology
computer labs; database in use to track success rates of students who
utilize tutors; data includes course completion and success rates

Implemented
and staffed the Center for Teaching and Learning
