for Innovation in the Community College, Moraine Valley is proud to
participate in this learning-centered initiative, further advancing teaching and
learning at our college.

These materials were developed as a component
of Moraine Valley's participation in the Pew Charitable Trust funded Vanguard
Learning College project. The pages highlight the work done from 2000-2002 to
advance learning-centered education on our campus.
From the inception of the college's
involvement, activities that emerged from our participation were viewed not as
projects, but as steps on a continuum that would result in the campus becoming
more learning-centered. As this is a process to which the college has made an
ongoing commitment, it was our goal to incorporate these and future actions into
our strategic planning process. This being accomplished by the conclusion of the
grant period, no specific updates delineating the time period beyond the grant
have been made. The pages remain as representative examples of the activities
that Moraine Valley pursued as we took steps to become a learning-centered
institution.
