Parents or guardians are responsible for transporting children to and from Moraine Valley. They should be dropped off no more than 10 minutes before a class begins and picked up promptly at the classroom no earlier than 10 minutes before a class ends. Children are not to be left unattended on campus. Each student should bring a writing tablet and pencil to the first class meeting. Art students should bring a drawing pencil and drawing tablet. Some classes require textbooks—check course descriptions. Textbooks are sold in the Bookstore in Building D on campus. We want your child to have an excellent learning experience at Moraine Valley. Please feel free to contact us at (708) 974-5735 or come to the Workforce Development and Community Services Office in Room T100 in the Center for Contemporary Technology (Building T). We reserve the right to dismiss students who are unable or unwilling to conform to an instructor's rules. These programs are not designed to provide assistance for children with severe learning disabilities, emotional or behavioral problems, or delayed cognitive development. Parents are advised to consult with their local school personnel or their pediatrician for special assistance. |
