Bookstore
Our university-like bookstore is the
place for all of your textbooks, supplies, CDs, DVDs, spirit clothing, greeting
cards, software, and so much more.
Café
Moraine/Espresso Love
Hungry? Enjoy breakfast, lunch, or
dinner in the comfortable and cozy Café Moraine in the College Center. Weekly
menus and specials are posted on the Web site. Espresso Love (located in
Buildings D and L) has specialty coffees, muffins and more. Look in the class
schedule for a coupon good for 50 cents off your next purchase!
Clubs and Organizations
Co-curricular activities can be
enriching, so join a club today! Choose from 24-Karats Dance, Alliance of
African-American Students, Alliance of Latin American Students, Anime, Arab
Student Union, Art, Chess, Christian Fellowship, Drama, Earth Human, Friendly
Informative Students of Success, Gay Lesbian Or Whatever (GLOW), Indian
Pakistani Student Union, International Women, Music, Muslim Student Association,
Pharmacy, Professional Convention Management Association, Social Action and
Political Empowerment, and more. The club offerings may change from semester to
semester. Organizations include: College Bowl, Forensics (speech team),
Glacier student newspaper, Mastodon literary magazine, Peers
Educating Peers, Phi Theta Kappa honors society, and Student Government
Association.
CyberCafé
Use campus computers or bring your own
laptop to do homework, surf the Web and more at the cybercafé, located near the
Bookstore in Building D.
Fine and Performing Arts Center
The arts center continues to deliver an
exciting line up with world-class entertainment, from top-name musicians and
extraordinary art exhibits to outstanding theatrical performances. As a student,
you'll receive a discount on tickets. Enjoy participating? Join the band or
choir, enroll in private voice or instrumental lessons, audition for an upcoming
play, or join the art or drama club.
Health Fitness Center
Stop by the center for a free guest
pass for a day to see how a workout can fit into your schedule. Affordable
memberships offer access to treadmills, ellipticals, strength training machines,
stability balls, and more. Learn yoga and pilates, enjoy small group workouts
and personalized training sessions. Library
Need to study for a test or do some
research for a paper? The library offers vast resources, a knowledgeable staff,
Internet service, Wi-Fi hot spot, comfortable lounge areas and private study
spaces. You also can enjoy a cup of freshly perked espresso in the coffee bar.
Multicultural Student Affairs
Experience varying cultures through
music, dance, food, and guest speakers with cultural, social and education
programs during Arab Heritage Month, Black History Month, Hispanic Heritage
Month, Women's History Month, and more.
Sports
Moraine Valley fields competitive teams
in baseball, basketball, cross country, softball, tennis, and volleyball. Try
out for one of the teams or sign up for intramural outdoor volleyball or flag
football. Whichever you decide, be sure to come out to cheer on the Cyclones,
especially for the annual Pack the Place basketball game. Student Life Center
The Student Life Center is the perfect
place to relax, study, surf the Internet, visit with classmates, play some card
games, or watch a television program or movie. You also can get information here
on all of the student clubs and organizations. The center is a hub of activity
all school-year long. Don’t miss Welcome Week, Fall Fest and Spring Fest, plus
plenty of activities and events in between!
Telescope Open Viewing
Get up close and personal with the
galaxy at the G. Jack Bradley observation deck on the west side of campus.
Monthly viewings are held in the spring, summer and fall.
Walking/Jogging Path
Our 1.45-mile paved path winds along
campus offering walkers, joggers and cyclists a beautiful backdrop for
outdoor exercise and relaxation. |
