All-USA Community & Junior College Academic Team

Each year Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society, the American Association of Community Colleges and USA Today sponsor the All-USA Academic Team Competition. As an AACC member institution, Moraine Valley is eligible to nominate two students for this prestigious award. This program recognizes scholarly achievements of students enrolled in community, technical and junior colleges. The competition is designed for students who excel in the classroom, who have the intellectual curiosity to pursue academic, career, and cultural enrichment outside of the traditional classroom, who show evidence of substantial development of talents in academic and technical education, and who have demonstrated an ability to share this development with others. Nominees from Moraine Valley also are nominated for the All-Illinois Academic Team. First team members (20 students from across the nation) will receive a $2,500 cash award, and a commemorative award from USA Today. Second and third team members will receive a commemorative medallion. For information, visit the Student Life Office, or call (708) 974-5717, or email studentlife@morainevalley.edu.
