Campus Civility Series

Enough is Enough Day
Thursday, March 11, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Student Union
Sign paper cutouts of handprints to symbolize a pledge to never use your
hands to commit interpersonal acts of violence. Moment of silence at noon
for those who have been affected by interpersonal or campus violence. Event
is part of the Enough is Enough Campaign, established in 2008 by the
national association of Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education
to create a new paradigm for peace and safety on the nation’s college

This workshop focuses on the risk and benefits of social networking. It will
show student participants how social networking can be used to help and hurt
them. In addition, it will explore expectations student leaders have in keeping
their profiles “safe.” Discussions will take place on what or what not to post,
the privacy clauses for these social networks will be examined, and students
will be taught how to make their social networking experience work for them.

An overview of international education including: international students,
U.S. students study abroad and cross cultural learning. Student leaders must
prepare themselves for the multicultural, global environment we live and work in
today. Students will be provided a wealth of information to enable them to be
more globally aware and more knowledgeable about international education
opportunities they may enjoy, as they prepare for their future careers.
