Goal Statement
Create and administer
a comprehensive, high-quality, and successful program
of
Assessment of Student Academic Achievement
based on the mission and needs of the
students and college,
and recognized best practices.

Contribute
directly and consistently to improved student learning.

Contribute to
the Institutional Effectiveness of the college.

Regularly
present the college Assessment Plan and assessment messages to campus audiences
in clear and concise language.

Clearly define
assessment expectations for faculty, departments and sub-divisions; provide
leadership in meeting the expectations; and document the processes and results.

Encourage and
support individual faculty in their assessment practices.

Generate reports about
student achievement that faculty find compelling and useful in their work and
teaching.

Be involved in
the curriculum development process to the extent it influences the success of
Learning Outcome assessment efforts.

Offer a broad
program of assessment services and events to the entire college community.

Develop each of
the four major assessment areas (Classroom, Course, Program, and General
Education) in a balanced and coordinated manner.

Develop the Moraine Valley ASAA program into an influential presence in the college
and strongly familiar to both faculty and administration.
-
Develop the Moraine Valley ASAA program into a recognized leader among community
colleges nationwide.
