  • Analyze spring semester assessment results and present summary reports
  • Prepare for fall course assessments
  • Deliver annual report of college work and results for student assessment
  • Review of department annual reports, with feedback to chairs

October, November, December

  • Faculty discuss spring semester course assessment results and recommend improvements
  • Administer fall course assessments
  • Departments review and confirm department statements of mission and goals
  • Departments review and confirm course learning outcomes
  • Reconvene college Assessment Committee

January, February, March

  • Analyze fall semester course assessment results and present summary reports
  • Faculty discuss fall semester course assessment results and recommendations for improvement of student learning.
  • Prepare for spring course assessments

April, May, June

  • Administer spring course assessments
  • Department chairs and deans develop and deliver revised assessment plans for the next academic year
  • Department chairs and deans develop and deliver annual assessment reports for the current academic year
  • Review, revise and reprint all program materials for September distribution
  • Assessment Committee presents annual report of work and results in addressing the strategic priority of student assessment

Ongoing throughout the year

  • Support for faculty classroom assessment through workshops and individual consultation
  • Discuss student assessment needs and opportunities with department chairs and faculty
  • Reaffirm purposes and goals of Moraine Valley's program to assess student learning
  • Assessment Committee provides oversight for student assessment efforts
  • Clarify and convey the assessment message for the entire college community
  • Administer quarterly reviews of leading indicators for ASAA program quality
