Paid poll worker positions for the Nov. 4 Gubernatorial Election ($300)

The Cook County Clerk’s office is recruiting Moraine Valley students to serve in suburban polling places for the November 4, 2014 Gubernatorial Election. It is a unique opportunity to provide a vital service for the community, get a behind-the-scenes look at the election process and get paid all at the same time.

There are two positions available to students who are interested in participating: Election Judge or Equipment Manager.

Both Election Judges and Equipment Managers assist voters and ensure the polling place is running smoothly. Equipment Managers are also responsible for setting up and maintaining the voting equipment and transmitting results at the end of the night. Due to the additional responsibility, Equipment Managers receive more training and higher pay. Election Judges earn $175, Equipment Managers earn $300.

Moraine Valley students have become an integral part of the Cook County Clerk’s office election day team and we are proud to continue this tradition in the fall of 2014.
